I have unlocked my old 2G iPhone to use it as a pay-as-you-go home phone (rarely use my home phone so I wanted the least expensive plan possible). The 2G iPhone sits on a corner table and is always in range of my WiFi. If I leave Mobile Me active to keep just my bookmarks and contacts synced with my 3G phone, every few minutes it polls over GPRS rather than WiFi to sync, charging my account. Even if I turn all Push off in Fetch New Data setting everything to manual fetch, it still does it. Any idea why this is? For now I have just turned off mobile me and synced contacts and bookmarks through iTunes

Thanks, Colin
