Why does iphoneincanada.ca have KIRF ad?

I'm (or was) a fan of the Canadian iPhone blog iphoneincanada.ca and was on the site and saw an ad for the "HiPhone 4" and when I clicked on it this is the url http://www.lightinthebox.com/wholesale-Cell-Phones_c206?gclid=CI3s04y-rqQCFUfX5wodx2Ynyw

Is this even remotely ok for a so-called blog to have on it's site? I used to think Giz was the king of shifty tech blogs but this just seems wrong?

Many websites use third-party internet ad companies to handle their banner ads. Decent ad firms will at least keep the ads "relevant", like seeing ads for Sprint or Motorola on a site dedicated to iPhone users. Less scrupulous ad firms will let almost anything fly.(like the time that NYT had banner ads that were installing malware)

Clicker beware.
