Why does it now only show the first name at the top of a message window?

In a conversation, at the top it no longer shows the full name. Very stupid design flaw as I talk to several ppl w the same first names. I seriously hope Apple wakes up and gets their act together.

Settings, "Mail, Contacts, Calendars", short name, change to whatever you want.

Great thanks. Still absolutely idiotic that that's the default. There are many default settings that make absolutely no sense.

What if you have two friends w the same name??

The setting change is fairly easy and people should really examine their settings and change them to fit what they want in general, but especially when they are upgrading (software or hardware).

It does seem like a difficult setting to locate.

Could be made accessible from the Messages settings as well to make it easier for people to find and use, perhaps.

I like it because most of the time I don't put last names on contacts. First name is good enough for me I know who it is. And shouldn't you be able to tell who your taking to by what your talking about?

The message alert still shows the full name + so does the message when you look at your message overviews so I'm pretty sure I'd know which one I'm talking to.

I don't want to review the conversation to find out who it is, it's much quicker to simply look at the name.
