I have a 8GB 4G touch on 6.1.5 that I use almost exclusively for podcasts. The unit is in good shape, never been dropped etc., and holds a charge for a long time. The problem is that recently it has been responding very slowly to user input. I will touch the screen, get no response from the iPod, then figuring that I didn't touch the onscreen button, I will hit it again. Often, the iPod registers that I touched it, but just doesn't respond for a while. Then it will act as if I hit the screen multiple times (I did). This really sucks for navigating podcasts, Safari, etc.

As I mentioned, this is a recent development. It used to respond instantly, as it is supposed to. Any ideas on how to tune it up? FWIW, I never have more than 2 or 3 apps "open" at the same time, and I still have 2.5GB free according to iTunes. Thanks!
