Hi there,

I got an invisible Apple Watch series 9 and sometimes when I do a workout (riding my bike) the watch locks itself like the same that happens when you don't wear it.

I can easily unlock it by putting in my code (0000, not telling which order) but it would be better if it doesn't happen so I can easily check how many kilometers I did ride and check for any notifications I might have received.

Does someone have a solution for this or do I need to be nicer to my watch? Let me know if you need some more details such as the colour of my bike or the software it is running.

I can and it's the band I received with my watch, it doesn't happen every time so I guess I just need to deal with it.

For working out it needs to be tighter. Casual use the one finger rule is good, but for working out crank it a little tighter. If the watch is too loose it will think it’s dropped off your wrist and then lock.

I keep my watch tighter than one finger of slack. If you don't, it locks when the sensor loses contact with the skin which can be annoying when working out

I use my old Nike Sport Loop, and I find that it feels looser after several minutes of running. I just unfasten and tug tighter mid-run and it’s then okay for the rest of the run.

You may need to tighten the watch band. Any distance away form you wrist , it will automatically lock. I have my Apple Watch ⌚️ tight to the point it doesn’t move while I workout. 🏋️‍♀️

This happens to me from time to time when I do barbell trap. shrugs. I have to place my watch up on my lower forearm so I can put wrist wraps around the bar to make sure I don’t let it go because of the excessive weight when doing the exercise.

Probably because the watch is not secure enough on the arm during movement. Try an adjustable & flexible watch band.
