Every time I lock/unlock my phone the brightness seems to have dimmed. I have True Tone and night shift turned off and my battery is full, what else could be causing this?

Wando64 offers the solution. Problem solved. "Auto Brightness" at very bottom of Display&Text Size.

Thank you. Why in the hell would they bury this in accessibility and not have it in Display/brightness?!
iPhone comes with True Tint turned on. No wonder people complain and think they got a dud.

Yea I've been scratching my head as to why the auto brightness is in the accessibilities. This is one that really annoys me.

Because Apple really don’t want people to crank up the brightness to the max and then complain about battery life and screen burn in. These are OLED devices. So the less people fiddle around, the better it is.
