Hi, i have notices that my hard drive free space has been fluctuating.

At the moment i have 110.89 but earlier today i had 110.92. And the previous day 111. something.

I don't know why this is so does anyone know.

That's such a small change it's just due to using your computer. Apps write and remove stuff all over they system, besides your user account.

There's also virtual memory paging, but you don't see that stuff reported.

Swap files baby!

It's normal.

Actually, this activity is why you need to maintain about 5-10% free space. If you completely fill up a drive, and your OS can't page/swap, bad things happen.

Depending on how much RAM you have installed, you may begin to notice a significant slowdown when you start using swap files. To clear them, you just need to reboot.
