Why does my iPhone 6 require manual Bluetooth connection every time

Hi guys, I have my iPhone paired to my in car Bluetooth system but every time I wish to use it I have to go into settings and Bluetooth find the stereo and then connect to it for it to make the connection.

The same goes for my Bluetooth headphones and the speaker I have.

I never used to have to do this with my iPhone 5, once paired it would auto connect as soon as I turned my Bluetooth on via the control centre.

Any ideas?

Also forgot to mention, I also have a Samsung Galaxy s6 and this works fine it auto connects with all my Bluetooth devices just fine

I have a pair of headphones and a pair of ear buds that auto connect when powered on.
