after the nightmare kernal panic's brought on by a update which rendered DVD player a menace, now my macbook can't read DVDs. The drive will find cd's with no problem but any dvds result in three or four painful attempts to read it then with a resigned burp it spits them out again. From looking around I see this is similar to a problem brought on by firmware updates last year, I just did a couple of them too, has the problem struck again?
