Hey,

I've been having this issue for quite a while. My mac wakes up randomly from sleep.

I noticed the hour is 3:00 AM. Why is that?

This is also happening to my girlfriend's mac, at the same hour.

Is there a app that is doing this? Is this "normal"?

Please, I am worriend. I don't feel pretty secure...

The other possibility is that your Mac is just doing housekeeping functions, like most modern UNIX-based systems do.

There's all kinds of logs and stuff that build up as your Mac runs, and overnight a script runs that rotates logs, clears out irrelevant data, and just basically cleans house and keeps things tidy. This usually ends up happening when people are least likely to be on the computer (typically around 3 a.m.). But of course, if the Mac is asleep, it has to wake up to carry these tasks out.

This function should only last a few minutes, tops. To play it safe, you could probably schedule your Mac in the Energy settings to go back to sleep around 3:15 a.m. or so.
