Why does my mouse cursor disappear when I type? Actually I know why. The OS hides the cursor when you're typing so it's not distracting. That's not a problem and is pretty useful.

The problem is on my new MacBook, the cursor hides and there is a slight lag time before it comes back that really disrupts my work-flow, especially when I am in a browser and there is a delay before the page scrolls. This has never happened to another Mac before. As I type this on my Mac Pro, the cursor comes and goes with no delay at all.

How do I fix this problem on my MacBook? Help!

I just had my logic board replaced on a early 2008 macbook pro, and just noticed the same thing, losing the mouse occasionally, as you described.
