Why does my WIFI suck in Lion?

I got 4 full bars, yet my connection drops while still showing 4 bars

In SL my connection didn't drop, in fact my 3 year old $500 PC which I gave to my girlfriend also works fine.

How do I fix the WIFI performance of this MBP?

( It's a clean install of Lion, it was no upgrade from SL )

Experiencing same issue with fresh install of Lion on my MBA 13U (late 2010).

Called Apple 2x and was told it's not on a "known issue" list, yet. First time around they had me do a p-ram reset [option/command/r/p (I think)], which didn't fix the issue. Second call had me tweaking the networking settings and "keychain access". Result... continue to drop WIFI connections at home and work.

If you haven't already, call Apple and see what else they recommend. They might mention re-installing Lion. (I flat out declined the option, but you might not.) Good luck.

Try disabling IPV6 in System Preferences -> Network -> Advanced -> TCP/IP
