Does Apple have no idea how to write a TCP/IP stack? Insofar as I can tell, Macs running any version of OS X do not make a DHCP request on wireless reassociation, which means that if the router is rebooted wile a Mac is asleep, the Mac in question will rudely re-claim the IP address it had before sleep, potentially causing an IP conflict.
Why is something so fundamental and basic so broken in an OS that purports itself as 'better' at networking? I wouldn't usually have a go at Apple over anything except their licensing structure - I love the OS, I love the hardware, but this is absolutely rubbish...
And it's been broken for so long
