Photoshop, along with other applications, take a long time to start bouncing in my dock in lion. Like up to 30 seconds to start bounding while others bounce instantly.

I have a brand new MBP 4gb ram running the latest version of lion.

Any ideas on why this is happening?

CS5 is a very big program so I'd expect it to take quite some time, but on a dual core i5 30 seconds is quite a bit... maybe you need to do a clean install of Lion?

Also, the program may speed up when a update is released with better compatibility for Lion OSX ;)

Ok thanks. Im running the i7 by the way. And it only happens with Photoshop and Cinema 4D. All my other adobe applications run and open perfectly fine.

If I was to do a clean lion install, how might I go about this?

despite other problems I have with Lion, Photoshop CS5 Extended is actually one program that starts instantly, click on it (from App folder as I don't have it on the dock) and appears on the dock straight away followed by the splash screen, and its ready to use within 10-15 seconds on my April 2008 2.66Ghz Core 2 Duo iMac.
