Why does Siri sound muffled (when paired up with my iPhone) and sometimes sound clear

I recently bought a 2014 Hyundai Elantra and when I would talk to Siri, it sounds very muffled (like it is mono instead of stereo.) However, when I play music it sounds good (A2DP kicks in) and if Siri is giving me directions to someplace she sounds very clear. This probably more has to do with the Hyundai instead of the iPhone, but wasn't sure if other people had this problem too.
