iPod touch Why does the iPod touch 4 have internet tethering settings?

I was just looking through settings and I found that it has the ability to tether...which is strange because the iPod touch has no EDGE or 3G to tether....does anyone know the explanation of this?
When I got my touch, I restored it from my iPhone 4 backup.....perhaps from that backup it added the tethering settings?

No, but I know of other things that got carried over like this. And I can see this happening due to Apple's restore function.

That doesn't mean a thing. The standard tether page is static text. Thus, it'll still say iPhone regardless is it's an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad.

And back on the 1.x software on the original touch, if you put the passcode in wrong and it locked you out of the device it would say 'iPhone locked', because Apple overlooked changing all instances of 'iPhone' in the software. It doesn't really mean much.
