Why doesn't apple mail show me accurate search results in mail?

If I select a subolder and search for a sender who sent me e-mails which I dragged into the selected folder, why don't any e-mails show up? If I do the same in Outlook, all the emails show up within seconds?



It happens with other subfolders and different senders as well.. Very frustrating.



Also the "from" and "to" in the search bar is very confusing and doesn't work well.

I am pretty sure that Mail search works differently from Outlook.
There must be some small detail with those subfolders that we're missing. Some of such details are outlined here: link.
