Why doesn't my profile picture show up?

The little picture alongside your posts is an Avatar, different to your Profile Picture and you need to have amassed 500 posts before you can use a 'tar.
The profile picture you are referring to shows up on your profile only. An avatar will show up on your posts. You need 500 posts to have an avatar. Please read the MacRumors Forums FAQ for more information
