So I have a Macbook Pro with the following specs. Yet, after installing parallels (I've tried twice with two different options: using bootcamp, then uninstalling windows and reinstalling using Parallels itself). Nada. It freezes, freezes, and freezes. It doesn't run long enough for me to install the Windows support files from Apple either. What gives?? Windows runs just fine when booting and selecting the Windows option, but not with Parallels.

Specs below.

$1099 2011 Macbook Pro
13"
500 GB HD
4 GB RAM

I have XP, Win7 & Win8 each running in their own parallels virtual drive - all at the same time. Same MBP as you. Version 7 of Parallels for me.

I don't know what your problem is but it definitely isn't the Mac itself.
