I had my Time Capsule reserve an IP address for a device, 10.0.0.201, works beautifully. I simply set the device up to use DHCP, and it gets the 10.0.0.201 IP automatically. Easy!
Now I want to do the same for my MacBook Pro. I put in 10.0.0.202, put in my MBP's MAC address, and hit Update... And my MBP's IP address is still 10.0.0.200 that is given to it by DHCP. I tried to turn the AirPort off and on, but it still stubbornly gets the 10.0.0.200 address. What's up with that? Is 10.0.0.202 out of bounds or something?
EDIT: Whoa, I am indeed stupid. I just hit renew lease, and I got the 10.0.0.202 address like I wanted!
So mods, wasteland this thread if you want.
