If I go close to something while I'm recording video, why doesn't the phone autofocus like a normal video camera? I mean it has the feature, so why didn't apple bring the recording to the next level?

Why doesn't the 3GS focus during video?

I noticed that too. It pissed me off. It only focuses before you push the record button. One you hit record it won't ever focus again :/
