Over the years I've tried almost every type of pointing device and I'm pretty sure that if the Magic Mouse allowed you to pinch zoom (the touchscreen style pinch zoom you can do on a trackpad), it would be the perfect computing experience. WHY have they not done this yet??? It seems so obvious and I honestly can't think of a reason it wouldn't work.

I don't think there is enough surface area to support pinch to zoom. I think mice became second class Mac citizens years ago. The trackpad is a much better input device for gestures.

Maybe if you have big hands ya but I often find myself trying to pinch zoom on the magic mouse because I got so used to the macbook trackpad. Maybe it has to be perfectly flat for pinch zoom?
