Why dont i ever see refurb ACDs ?

I just noticed that i have NEVER seen a refurb Cinema Display listed on the UK Apple site. I also know people return displays, in fact, just the other day at my local store, a guy brought in his 20 incher to be swapped for a new one.

So what happens to the old one?, surely they'll repair it and if they repair it why not list it on the refurb site??

Not sure, but Apple Cinema Displays are usually hard to find on the U.S. store as well. The only ACD for sale currently is a 30" ACD for $1,699 USD.

Just thinking, but wouldn't a refurb ACD have a higher dead pixel probability since it was probably a return?

I suspect that Apple either repairs the ACDs or they just don't worry much about reselling them.

Could be but return could also easily have been for a faulty connection cable, backlight, color production..etc.
