Interesting question, but why has an iOS version (like an IPSW file) and macOS version never leak? Windows versions leak all the time. This is how we are able to get insight into how Windows versions are developed and it is all very interesting to see what a Windows version could have been.
Windows 11 has leaked a couple of times, I think we have 3 versions that got leaked, one of them was leaked before Windows 11 was even announced. How come iOS versions or even macOS versions not leak?
Now IPSW files are linked to individual iPhones, but what is stopping individual iPSW files from getting leaked for iOS 19 for example? I know that apple has multiple git branches and they are not all merged until close to iOS 19's beta release, but why don't we ever get an individual branch leaked? And even with macOS, one IPSW file works on all Apple Silicon Macs, and an installer could theoretically get leaked and work on both AS and Intel.
Apple obviously knows something that the rest of the tech industry (most notably Microsoft) needs to follow...
