I strongly suspect this is a really stupid question, but clicking on ratings for news items on the home page never results in a change in the numbers for me, whether or not I'm logged in. My browser accepts cookies too. Anyone know why this is?

Why don't my ratings seem to count?

I think it's because it takes some time to update. If you notice, sometimes when a new news article is posted on the main page, it will say 0 comments. When you go into the comments section, there will be 1 or 2 in there.
