OK I'm paranoid and think somebody will see me picking my nose and eating it .....

Surely an elegant slider mechanism could be built in to cover the iSight when not being used ??

Duct tape has a nice brushed metal look to it... easy to install and user friendly.

It's not like its going to record when you aren't using it. I'm a little confused.

The green led will light up when the iSight is in use. Just make sure it's off when you're........ Yuck, can you stop that!!!

There is also the iPatch :)

Only works on the iMac 24" , 20" & 17" models, but I'm not sure about even the new iMac models...

The New World Order...

It's all part of the New World Order. "They" are desensitizing everyone's minds... getting us all so familiar with cameras and survelience that we soon won't notice it anymore.

A previous poster says the green light comes on when it's in use. Well, the camera could be programed or designed in such a way that the New World Order overlords could access the camera without the green light coming on.

Haven't you heard of how Google's Adsense can listen in on your microphone without you ever knowing it so that Adsense can parse the ambient audio for words and then deliver targeted ads to your computer based on the audio?

It's a crazy world

hmm, and what about that Undercover security program that takes picks of an unsuspecting thief? I hope the green light doesn't come on in that case!

Looks like a good prog but I would also be concerned it was spying on me!

I vaguely remember Steve Jobs responding to the iSight security question quite some time back. The green LED and iSight are connected together through hardware and that it was impossible for the iSight to be ON without the LED being on also.

Why should I beleive Steve Jobs? I remember him saying a few years back that there is no market for a video ipod. Then he announces the video iPod. And just the other day he said we now live in an "all-in-one-world". Well, my world sure aint all-in-one.:mad::mad:

besides, what satisfaction are people gonna get out of seeing you...just hours and hours of a person staring blankly into a screen...sounds like a waste of time for anyone to do if you ask me...

DO you think people are hacking into your computer and watching you....:D

You could use a piece of electrical tape if you really feel the need.

lol i always feel like theres someone watching me so i put a piece of tape over it when im not using it.

LOL paranoid.

iPatch = Sweet + Kick Ass !! :) Is there one for the new iMacs ??

Why can't Apple just build in a little sliding door for the paranoid among us ?? :D

I fashioned a small cover out of folded card to pop over the iSight when I wasn't using it. Yip, I'm paranoid too.

i have installed a magnifying glass over mine and am no longer getting those annoying 'penis enlargement' spam-mails.

Its not a video iPod, its an iPod that happens to do video ;)
