Was thinking about using google play for buying movies and tv shows instead of iTunes for future proofing if I ever wanna move away from iOS but it isn't as easy to buy from the play store on iOS since Google don't want to give apple 30% which is understandable, but why do they have to do that? There is plenty of apps that sells stuff, like Groupon, Uber, Lyft and so on and they don't give Apple a percentage.

If there is a real explanation to why they don't have to pay Apple but Google does then can't Apple Pay solve this if they just use it instead then there isn't any percentage to Apple on their end right?

The question got a little cluttered but I hope someone can clarify this a little more to me.

I think the simplest reason is because Google hasn't done it and/or I doubt apple will allow it.
