why has my HD changed its name??

Hi starnge thing i just noticed my new macbook's hard drive has changed name?

Whats that all about??

That name looks like yours fingers fell asleep on a standard QWERTY keyboard. Are you sure you didn't accidentally hit the return key when the HD's icon was in focus?

It sounds stupid, but it's happened to me before. The letters used are all close to where your fingers would be for the home keys... just a logical explanation.

Could have done, but im not such a compitant typist as to have my fingers in all the right places.........


As long as its nothing to worry about? Thought i'd been hacked or something stupid!!!

That's what it looks like to me too. The alternatives are scarier (infiltration by someone or something).

btw, how did you get the little skpe icon in your menu bar


and you can just rename the Drive Again, no issues!

highlight and enter to change the name back to HD...seems fine....


as for skype skype preferances>general tab>☑show status in menu bar.....
