i bought a g5 recently, and this is the first time i play dvd on it.
[1], i insert my disc
[2], dvd player prompt me to select a region code, since the disc is Region 1, i selected 1
[3], dvd player comes out, everything is normal but there's no sound!
[4], i've checked the audio settings in the preferences panel, it says: built-in digital out(but not built-in line out), and the settings are grey that i can't change it back, so my system was muted!
[5], after a restart, i opened VLC to give a try. but VLC prompt me as the following:
coreaudio: failed to set buffer size: [nope]
and, the whole system was muted again~.....! :(

is there anybody know what this is??? Maybe i've heard of CoreAudio somewhere but i don't know what exactly is.

Any help is appriciated!!!!!thanks!!!!
