Why I can't view embedded lyrics to songs on my iPad?

I've spent a lot of time the past few years embedding the lyrics of my favorite songs in iTunes so I can follow along in my iPhone.

I'm extremely disappointed to find out that as far as I know the new iPad doesn't have this very basic functionality, SMFH. Is there something I'm missing or not doing correctly?

I second that, soundhound is pretty amazing with singing along to music. Only thing is you need to use data if u aren't in a wifi area.

i dont know about before , but now you can see lyrics by clicking the album artwork in the NOW playing
