Why the MacBook Air?

• Lighter
• No fan noise

Why I didn't buy the 14" MacBook Pro?

• Heavier
• Can make fan noise

It took me about 1 or 2 seconds to decide.

I can't understand those who have trouble deciding between those two models.

For me it wasn't a hard choice either—I do NOTHING that requires a MBP.

I do like ports, and I wish we had 1 or 2 thunderbolt ports on the right side. That's the only thing I'd like, esp coming from an intel MBP which did have them.

When I saw the MBPs in store, as I did this Friday, I was really taken aback by how they looked. It's not just the chonkiness—it's designed to be that way, which does make a kind of sense, but for me the keyboard being black on black emphasizes the blockiness.

I'm sure it is intentional—it achieves it looking like a beefier, different thing than the MBA—but I was really struck by how unattractive it was.

I mean, if you need one...you know, don't you?
