Just some random thoughts.

Seeing the iPad mini having A7, I think the mini might not get updated in 2014. Just like how Apple made iPod touch 5th-gen a little bit more advanced (A5 chip and way better camera/display than the previous generation) in 2012, and keep the same model until at least 2014.

But considering how iPads are now the main cash-generator for Apple's business, it'd be in return logical to keep the update cycle for all the iPads as quick as possible.

What do you guys think?

I think the Mini will yet again be upgraded next fall. As long as they are selling millions and millions of units and sales are not declining (like they have been for the iPod Touch line for some time now), I believe Apple will continue to refresh the Mini with upgraded hardware and enhancements to its features.
