Why is a 320GB 5400RPM HDD scored HIGHER than Hitachi 7K500?

I tested my HDD using XBench, it is a 320GB Samsung HM321HI, single platter(ie 320GB/platter), and got:

and I found the result for 7K500(7200 RPM, 500GB, 250GB/Platter):

Does single-platter contribute to this?
