I just got two texts from 265-080 that turned out to be AIM messages. I opened Beejive and sure enough I was still logged in. As soon as I started sending messages the texts stopped.

Is this like an idle or something? Do I have to open Beejive every couple hours to keep it active?

you need to log out of AIM on iPhone. It keeps you logged in for 24 hours so it will push IM's to your AIM account if you are still logged in

Did you give AIM your number and turn on message forwarding? If so, then you need to turn this off.

Are you sure the person sent the message to your AIM account and not directly to your phone number? People can text you that way.

And Beejive will keep you signed in for 24 hours at a time, assuming you have that option selected in settings.

Nope. No AIM for iPhone and no number given to them.

Can you post a screenshot?

I suspect the person messaging you was on aim and sent the message to +YOURNUMBER which sent it to you as a text message and not an AIM message.

I can't because it happened on my way to work ~4 hours ago and I just dismissed them. Thing is it was my girlfriend who sent them and I'm the one who got her onto AIM so I don't think she even knows she can send messages to mobile numbers...

Cause someone probably sent you a text message from their iphone Aim.

... to my iPhone AIM. How does that make sense? Especially when I open Beejive and reply and have all subsequent messages come to Beejive like they're supposed to.
