iPhone 6 screen replacement by Apple: $109
iPhone 5 screen replacement by Apple: $149

I'd expect the 6 screens to cost more! Is Apple being more consumer friendly by replacing screens cheaper?

Are they expecting more 6 screens to break because they're more fragile, and doing this to avoid bad press?

Most peculiar indeed!

more fragile i seen someone break theres on carpet.

I am wondering as well. I opted to not buy applecare plus on my 5s last year and 2 months in, broke my screen. It wasn't until a month ago that you had the option to fix your screen at the apple store. So this time around with my 6, I get the insurance and find out that it is cheaper to fix the screen on the 6 and it is available at launch.

Just a theory but is coincidence they lowered the price to replace screens 40 dollars and raised the cost for new device replacement 40 dollars (for the 6)?
