Why is Apple Watch allowed to order Apple Vision Pro ? And the site is not available ?

Ordering the Apple Vision Pro tomorrow morning during pre-order and my desktop can't order it - says I can only order from my iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch.

Normally I always pre-order from my desktop Mac (Studio).

So how does the Apple watch allow you to order a $3500 Apple Vision Pro ?

Doesn't the system need to scan your face for the correct fitting parts to ship ?

maybe a glitch as they are preparing?
there is an "Apple Store" app available for the watch, I don't have it installed though ...
Is there an "Apple Store" app available for the Mac? I always use Safari on the Mac ...

I just installed the Apple Store app onto my AW9 - but it looks like it's down.

There is no app for the Mac. I always order from my Mac (desktop) when a pre-order happens but this time, it looks like only the iPhone or iPad can order the AVP ?

don't know tbh, I'd use the phone to order and once success try it on the Mac?

The picture you posted shows the Apple Store app is available for the Apple Watch. It doesn't say the VP is available to order from that app version.

The website ordering works fine. However, I decided not to order because they aren't offering it at any discounts (teachers, students, government, military, etc.).
