Why is Apple Watch Studio more expensive?

I am interested in getting an Apple Watch series 9, starlight aluminum cellular 41mm with the blue Sport Loop, but I looked in the Apple Watch Studio customization tool and it gave me a price of $529. However, I went to the purchase page for the Series 9, configured it with the same options, and I got a price of $499. Is apple trying to squeeze $30 more for no reason?

I just tried using Apple Watch Studio using the same configuration you did and came up with $529 at first and then tried it again and got the correct $499 for the cellular version. It seems Studio changed it back to 45mm after I selected 41mm at the beginning so make sure it is the 41mm version when at the final step.

Get Ultra. For $300 more you get titanium and hard to scratch glass. Also, trade in are double the price.

I’ve tried on the ultra twice and it is too big for me. Personally, I couldn’t see myself getting a size larger than 41mm.
