did someone say that it doesnt transfer by wifi but by bluetooth?

it cant be a power issue as you have to have the watch charging to get any music, which in itself is annoying.

and it takes so long and its so finicky, are apple doing it on purpose so we all give up and sign up for apple music?

since all the music id previously copied onto my watch disappeared when i had to keep restarting it and logging out on my phone just to get the radio app to work, i thought ill transfer a playlist that i have thats called 'best' and is the one best song of every artist in my iTunes match collection. it was just over 2 gigs and id read that thats the music limit on an non lte watch.

so i delete some songs to get it to less than 2gb, stick my watch on charge, and add it in the watch app. too big!

so i create another playlist called watch best, a duplicate of the first, and keep deleting things and seeing if it'll fit. had to get it down to 1.66 gb.

i leave it charging so its copying. i even switch off the display dim on my iPhone as im not sure if it copies when the phone goes blank.

woke up 8 hours afterwards, maybe 9, and its still going. 200 songs out of 255. it takes another 3 hours or so before its all copied.

now when i look in 'usage' on the watch app on my phone it tells me my music is 2.7gb. ????
