Why is CS 1 slower on a Macmini 5.2 than on a C2D 3.0 Ghz?

I did the real world Photoshop Benchmark test here in another topic. I was really surprised by the outcome. I was expecting the Mini to toast my old C2D mac, but it did not. It was way slower. What is happening:

Machine 1:
C2D 3.0 Ghz with 4Gb 800mhz RAM and 7200rpm 3,5 inch HD running 10.4
Result 1:15min

Machine 2:
i5 2.5 Ghz with 16Gb 1333mhz RAM and 4Gb RAM Disk for scratch running 10.6
1:30 min with RAM disk, 4min with built in 5400rpm 2,5 inch disk.

Is Rosetta worse with i5? Is it worse in Snow Leopard?
