Why is everything not consistent?

I mean, the App store and iTunes store are both black, the music app is white, the phone app is all black except for the number pad, which is white, and the settings app still has those awful pinstripes! Not to mention the inclusion of some apps using blue, along with the status bar changing color. Why couldn't everything just be one color and have the same kinda look?

Maybe to make each app different to each other! Although I would like consistence

If everything looked the same some may even say it's boring.

If everything looked the same I would leave iOS. That would be awful. Each app has its own character, some even have a personality.
