Why is google.com in French on my iPhone?

When I load www.google.com on my ip4 in safari, it always loads in French. This is through wifi-my pc on the same connection pulls up the English google site. Google shows my correct location in texas, but all the words are French. Anyone know what could cause this? If I load gmail, it loads English.
