Why is iDisk...

...so much slower on my mac than on a PC?

Yeah the interface is great and it's all incorporated pefectly, why is it that downloading/uploading from/to iDisk is sooo slow (relatively) on my Mac (in sig).

It just displays 'closing file' for several minutes with large image files...on my laptop WinXP it's much quicker.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? I love this feature to bits, why won't it return my love?

The Finder's to blame for this. If you use a program such as Transmit to work with your iDisk instead of the Finder, you'll see its true speed.

Which is one of the many reasons the Finder needs a serious overhaul.
