Why is iOS 4.01 so much larger in file size?

Just curious why the size is almost twice the size of the 4.0 update?

I was wondering the same thing. iOS 4.01 is twice the size of iOS 4.0.
So WTF???

Okay, compare iPhone 4 firmware to iPhone 4 firmware, not old iPhone firmware to iPhone 4 firmware. Obviously iPhone 4 got many more features to support so it has a bigger firmware.

I think it trashes a lot of it when it installs aswell.
It contains the entire OS and ways of extracting i think
