Hello,

I have a 2016 MBP 2.6/1tb/460.

I have an iTunes library of about 200 gigs.

I've just come from Lion in my iMac, where everything runs buttery smooth in iTunes, exact same collection.

Now in Sierra 10.12.1, iTunes V12.5.3.17, almost every second click causes a beachball! Sometimes it runs OK for 30 mins, but inevitably it starts freaking out. Is this a known issue? Is there a cure?

Thanks!

Are you signed into store or match or cloud music or similar? Any add on equalizers etc?
Sierra 10.12.1, iTunes V12.5.3.17 is fairly snappy on my 2.6GHz Mac w 190GB music, but I don't stay signed in, and don't use any music services.
Usually I run iTunes 10.4.1 with Sierra because the interface is cleaner, but when I have to use 12.5, eg interacting with a new iPad, the App has run just fine - no beachballs whatsoever.
