I just loaded macrumors.com in Firefox and saw this:

Fire.png

instead of what I am used to seeing (this is a shot from Safari):

Saf.png

I just tried it in Firefox on 2 other Macs and it works fine. Why is my Mac displaying macrumors.com like it is?

Firefox is showing the mobile site. Either you've set the user-agent to something to a mobile OS or you've previously selected to show the mobile site before in Firefox and it's remembered the setting.

Thanks. Just spotted that at the bottom of the page. Why on earth did it suddenly change to Mobile mode?

Thanks again :)
