It went from 90 to 70 percent in like 25 mins. I have wifi on, bluetooth off, LED one from max, but should it still be dropping that fast?
what does that do? and how do i do it?Have you calibrated the battery yet? You shouldn't need to if it's new, but it's always good to do just in case.
The battery has an internal microprocessor that provides an estimate of the amount of energy in the battery as it charges and discharges. The battery needs to be recalibrated from time to time to keep the onscreen battery time and percent display accurate. With all iBooks and PowerBook G4 computers, except the aluminum PowerBook G4 (15-inch Double-Layer SD), you should perform this procedure when you first use your computer and then every few months thereafter.

i'm getting about 3.5 hours max on my 2.0ghz new macbook, doing basic stuff like browing firefox, adium, and using word. This is with wifi on, bluetooth off, and 1 bar screen brightness.
I've posted this before, but people said it was normal?? my 3 year old ibook g4 has better battery life than this..
What do you think, what is everyones settings, apps, and battery life?

sounds pretty decent
but definitely not as good as what everyone else is claiming
I also have the new 2.0Ghz MacBook and the battery life is very clearly much less than my 2007 2.2Ghz MacBook. I used to be surprised when the battery was low on that thing. With the new one, I get maybe 3 or so hours before I need a charge.
