Why is my eMac so slow browsing

I am not sure if its a connection problem or my eMac. I have got 99% signal strength showing on my Dlink Airplus icon. My eMac is a 700mhz- 1Gig RAM 32mb nVidia system but I seem to spend half the night waiting for pages to load and watching that infuriating apple timer going round!Any suggestions? steve

Thanks. Tried and will give it time to see if its quicker. Whats it actually doing?

Its an emac... I've got one.

Think of it as a boat anchor that has internet... then it'll be super fast!
