I didn't notice this until recently– I have been rooming with someone who also has a Macbook Pro during study abroad. Basically, we are in the same room with the same model MacBookPro8,2, except mine is the larger model. However, his internet connectivity is significantly better than mine from the same room, which I verified with speed tests.

Right now in the hotel I am at, I have 1 bar of WiFi connectivity, the Internet gets dropped every minute or so, while my roommate in the same room with the same laptop has full bars and does not have his internet dropped (although it's still relatively slow because it is bad hotel Internet).

Does anybody know what would cause this? Thanks for the help.
