Just picked up this Santa Rosa MBP from a friend. Had 3gb (mismatched) ram installed, continuously freezing, especially during any multimedia or general heavy use. Took out the 2gb stick, computer runs flawlessly. Swapped out the 1gb stick for the 2gb stick, computer begins to freeze again.

Swapped for a different 1gb stick, computer runs flawlessly again.

So, I stuck an additional 512mb stick in, and, low and behold, it starts freezing again.

So, I ordered 2 matched, brand new samsung 2gb sticks. Just came today, freshly installed in my system, and...

Starts freezing again.

I'm ready to rip my hair out. Anyone have any idea as to something I'm just overlooking here?!?

Thanks in advance.
