Why is my Page Setup broken?

After upgrading from Panther to 10.4.8, both A3 and A4 are gone from most Page Setup menus and replaced with useless crap like ROK 16K and Choukei 3 Envelope. Where oh where did my A3/A4s go?
I have rebuilt the printers with the same PPDs that worked fine under Panther with no improvements. Please help me.

As in for most Mac programs like Preview and the like? Most of my printers (Canon Cyclone CLC1100, Elite XL) don't even have OSX drivers, but the PPDs that worked fine under Panther now appear to be broken under Tiger :(
Is Tiger that great a leap?
